Here is a great story we want to share with you. The Old Man, the Boy, and the Donkey An old man, a boy and a donkey were going to town. The boy rode on the donkey and the old man walked beside him. As they went along they passed some people who remarked it was a shame the old man was walking and the boy was riding. The man and the boy thought maybe the critics were right, so they changed positions. Later, they passed some people who remarked, "What a shame! He makes that little boy walk." They then decided they both would walk. Soon they passed some more people who thought they were stupid to walk when they had a decent donkey to ride. So they both rode the donkey. Now they passed some people who shamed them by saying how awful to put such a load on a poor donkey. The boy and man said they were probably right, so they decided to carry the donkey. As they crossed the bridge, they lost their grip on the animal, and he fell into the river and drowned. The moral of the story? If you try to please everyone, you might as well kiss your ass goodbye. Don’t you love that story? Can you see that always wondering and worrying what others think will take you away from what is best for you and what you want in the world. We believe that loyalty really starts with being loyal to ourselves and what we want and then how can we best manifest that in the world. This coaching program will enrich your life in ways you never thought possible as we explore your skills and talents and get to the core of the kind of business you want to build for yourself. This educational coaching program is taught in 4 weeks. There will be Challenges/Action steps each week to make it more fun and pro-active. We are not just talkers; we are doers and believe that when many small steps are made consistently and consecutively, your business will move progressively forward.
OPTION 4 : BUILD THE TEAM OF YOUR DREAMS
With the rise in part-time employment and lease space arrangements, it’s increasingly important to know how to craft a clear Co-operating agreement. This can help both parties determine how to work best with each other. Different than a lease or at-will agreement, a COOP can help parties establish performance agreements, payment and commission agreements, and simple day-to-day protocols. Dispute resolution, performance evaluations and consequences for non-performance, even possibilities for joint marketing can be addressed. We have found in our discussions, with employees and employers alike, many have either no agreements at all, or they have ones that are very unclear, fuzzy and don't really cover the points necessary for both parties involved. How do we accomplish all of this? By working with the entire team and then with each person individually. That’s right. We get all of the staff together for an initial meeting to explore the concept and give homework. Then we work with each staff member individually to figure out what is important to them. Then we all come back together and go over all the ideas and see how you all can better work together, thus the Co-operating. We do this in about 3-4 hours over a 2-4 week period. This program can really be customized to the time frame that works best for the team. We can even do it in a day if that works best. We can set up a time with the point person on your team to figure out the details. This is such an amazing process that will absolutely bring the entire team together in a way you have never seen before. We provide the platform for each person to share the most important things for them and be heard by other team members and owners.
Cost: $350 for up to 6 team members, each team over 6, an additional $50
OPTION 5: PRACTICE BUILDING PLAN
Most of us have either heard of , done, or started to do a business plan. If you're anything like me, the first thought of doing a business plan is very exciting. You are going to build this great business that you have always dreamed of. You can't wait to get started, get it up and running. You go on line to get a plan or get a book to see how its done. You do your research for a while and decide which plan to use, and make the time to sit down and get started. The first couple of questions aren't too tough. You think, "I can do this." Then you look ahead, and there are pages and pages of questions you don't know how to answer, need to do a ton of research for, or really don't care to know the answers to. This is what happens to me, as I am a creative, visual person who has a hard time doing a standard business plan. Can you relate? We at Meaningful Journey are offering a really fun, individualized coaching program to help you to build the massage business you have always wanted, but may have struggled to put together. We take you step by step through a well-defined process to put all the pieces of the puzzle together. We do this over 12 weeks, working weekly with a personal business coach. You will have weekly homework to keep you consistently moving through the process to get you up and running in a way you never thought possible. Let us help you build your vision.
