Kat Smith

Kat Smith is a business coach and consultant who’s focus is on helping entrepreneurs to start new enterprises or expand their current businesses. She works with each individual to assess what they want and why, what it will take to get there and what may be limiting them in achieving the success they desire.

She has been a successful self-employed hairdresser for 25 years who had a large clientele and has done advanced training in NY and LA with the top educators in the cosmetology industry. She also is the former owner of a Salon and Day Spa which she built, designed and managed for 10 years, with an excellent staff, each highly qualified in of their specific fields. She designed and implemented a successful assistant training program as a means to mentor and grow new hairdressers and give them greater skill sets to build their own successful clientele’s and careers.

Along with her staff she worked in the community doing makeovers for women living in the local Abused Women’s Shelter. The ladies would come by limousine to her salon/spa and have services including a new haircut, manicure and pedicure, massage, makeup and lunch. They would also leave with a bag full of beauty products to take home. While they were rejuvenating, their children were with day care providers so the whole family was taken care of and having a great time. Helping women to raise their self esteem is one of her passions.

She sold the salon/spa in 2004 as she wanted to bring new innovative services and systems in to the business and her business partner wanted to keep things as they were. So once again she followed her instincts and passion and started a mobile spa business which she is working to franchise across the country.
